Local non-profits connect with volunteers at annual fair

Despite the sloppy weather, the fourth annual Volunteer Fair at UMass Medical School brought out more than 30 local organizations and local chapters of national organizations hoping to recruit new volunteers. The annual fair is coordinated by the Office of Community and Government Relations in partnership with the United Way of Central Massachusetts.

Last year, members of the UMMS community volunteered more than 71,000 hours in service to others, about half of which took place in the Worcester area. In this video, volunteer coordinators from two local organizations talk about the agencies they represent and the important contributions their volunteers make.
