Clive: Death with dignity a compassionate outlet for suffering

Will speak at student-organized forum about Question 2 on Oct. 31

Massachusetts voters will be asked on Tuesday, Nov. 6, to vote on the “death with dignity” initiative, formally known as Question 2: Prescribing Medication to End Life on the Massachusetts general election ballot. This topic will be the subject of a UMMS forum on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Martha and Arthur Pappas Amphitheatre (Amphitheatre I) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the UMMS Student Body Committee, Health Professionals for Human Rights and UMMS Organized Medicine.

Faculty on both sides of the issue will lend their voices to the discussion. In this video we hear from one of those voices, David Clive, MD, professor of medicine.
