Czech, PhD, the Isadore and Fannie Foxman Chair in Medical Research and chair and professor of molecular medicine and biochemistry & molecular pharmacology, talks about research into inflammation, a condition associated with a many diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease and many others.
“One of the most exciting areas of work that we are doing right now is using RNAi—that was discovered right here at UMass Medical School—as a means for targeting inflammation to decrease inflammation in these diseases,” Dr. Czech explains.
