Third annual Volunteer Fair does brisk business

More than 40 agencies came to recruit volunteers in the Medical School old and new lobbies during the third annual Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Sponsored by the Office of Community and Government Relations, the fair allows members of the UMMS community to meet with many different local organizations to learn about volunteer opportunities that match their interests.

Participating organizations included national non-profits such as the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity to local groups such as Girls Inc. Worcester and GSBS Cares. See the full list on the Volunteer Fair website.

Hear James Leary, vice chancellor for community and government relations, and Tim Garvin, president and CEO of United Way of Central Massachusetts, talk about this important community event.
