UMass Medical School will partner with the Worcester Chamber of Commerce to offer the UMMS community a vendor trade show on Monday, May 9. Located in the Medical School lobbies, the event is intended to become an annual opportunity to check out goods and service from local vendors, including restaurants, banks, hotels and gyms. Scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the trade show is a result of efforts by the UMMS Purchasing Department and the Office of Community and Government Relations.
One of the vendors, Digital Credit Union (DCU), will set up a mobile branch and offer free credit analyses to trade show attendees. The free service allows participants to identify any credit issues and receive guidance on improving credit scores, which could possibly help them save money on existing loans. Other vendors will offer samples of food, discounts on services and free promotional merchandise.
