The Worcester Telegram & Gazette honored five individuals at the annual Visions Awards on Wednesday, Feb. 9, for their landmark contributions to community, in a ceremony featuring a keynote address by Governor Deval Patrick. Two of the awardees are part of the UMMS community: Jennifer M. MacDonald, an MD/PhD student, was honored with the Young Leader Award, and Mary C. Streeter DeFeudis, longtime UMMS benefactor, honorary degree recipient and chair of the UMass Medical School/UMass Memorial Development Council, received the Isaiah Thomas Award.
