A group of juniors and seniors from Worcester Technical High School got an insider’s look at the recently opened Albert Sherman Center. The purpose of the field trip, which included HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/design and environmental students, was to showcase the latest technology in the construction field, with an emphasis on LEED construction. The group of 70 students and their instructors attended a presentation by ARC (Architectural Resources Cambridge), the firm responsible for construction and design of the Sherman Center, and were introduced to current facilities staff members and managers who benefitted from vocational education.
Pictured here are carpentry students with their instructors Kevin Letourneau and Russell Mitchell, accompanied by Antone Bucciaglia of UMMS Facilities, in the Sherman Center Atrium.
