The Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship becomes involved with other pediatric subspecialty trainees primarily during consultations through communication of diagnosis, management, and treatment. There is also contact during didactic lectures, cardiology rotation at Boston Children's, and at pediatric neurology, neuropathology, and developmental conferences. The fellow attends the NICU developmental conferences. The fellow attends the NICU developmental follow-up clinic, high-risk OB clinic, genetics clinic, and pulmonology clinic.
The fellow during his research may work with fellows and residents from other fields such as cardiology. The fellow also attends the medical research forum where other fellows or staff from other departments present their research. The fellow also comes in contact with obstetrics, family practice, and emergency room residents during their NICU rotation.
