Application Process

Application process is via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We do not accept applications received in the mail. The following should be included:
  1. Letter of recommendation from the Dean of your medical school.
  2. Three letters of recommendation, including one from the Department of Medicine.
  3. Medical school transcripts.
  4. Score from the USMLE Step 1 (and Step 2 if your medical school requires it for graduation).
  5. Personal statement.
 
Program requirements for International Medical Graduates:
  1. U.S. citizen or permanent residency (we only accept J-1 visa's sponsored by the ECMFG & H-visa's in transfer - we do not initiate H-visa's). 
  2. Recent U.S. clinical training in an ACGME approved program (at least 3 months) and three letters from program.
  3. Recent graduate of medical school preferred.
  4. Valid ECFMG certificate including CSA Exam.
  5. Principal/Dean's letter & transcript.
  6. Pass USMLE first attempt - USMLE transcript required.
 
Invitations for interviews are issued only after the applicant's file is complete and has been reviewed. First-year appointment is made through the National Resident Matching Program. All appointments are for one year and will be renewed by mutual agreement of both parties.
