The Curriculum
The curriculum of the University of Massachusetts was approved at our ACGME/RRC site visit in 2009. Many of the ambulatory and primary care experiences combine both internal medicine and pediatrics exposure.
The academic year is divided into 13 four week rotations which are evenly divided between medicine and pediatrics. 2 weeks of vacation are taken from the department in which the resident rotates for seven blocks of that year plus 1 week from the other department, for a total of 3 weeks plus holiday break.
