 | Dr. Nageswara Rao Kollu is a Research Associate in the Khanna Lab. He obtained his Masters degree from the University of Hyderabad and completed his PhD from the L.V Prasad Eye Institute (Hyderabad, India). Dr. Nageswara's research in the Khanna Lab focuses on understanding the modulation of ciliary assembly and the pathogenesis of retinitis pigmentosa due to dysfunction of selected ciliary proteins.  | Dr. Linjing Li is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Khanna Lab. She obtained her PhD degree in Child Neurology from Japan. She joined the Khanna Lab in December of 2011. Her project uses multiple animal models to uncover the mechanisms of retinal degeneration due to mutations in RPGR and RP2. Her hobbies are traveling and reading.  | Ozge Yildiz is a graduate student in the Khanna Lab. She obtained her Bachelors degree from Bogazici University (Istanbul, Turkey) in 2011 where she graduated from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She started her graduate work at UMass Medical School in 2011. Her current project focuses on understanding the pathology of photoreceptor degenerative diseases using biochemical and cell biological approaches in relevant model systems.  | Dr. Balaji Karthick Subramanian is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Khanna Lab. He worked in Tufts University (Biomedical Engineering) for his PhD dissertation and received his degree from University of Massachusetts (Multi-campus Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology program). Later, he did a short postdoctoral fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Renal Division). He joined the Khanna Lab in January 2013 to further pursue his postdoctoral training. His work in the Khanna Lab involves investigating the role of ciliary protein trafficking and assembly in photoreceptor cells. Apart from his research, Dr. Subramanian likes to explore different cuisine and sports.
