• Notification: Important changes to access Clinical Follow-Me-Desktop (FMD) coming – Immediate action required

    Computers used to access the clinical FMD environment will be required to have a new software product called VMWare View installed in order to access the environment after March 29, 2017. 

     

    For University Owned Computers - On March 11, 2017, the Medical School IT department is deploying the required software to most university owned computers that need this software.  If your university owned computer does not receive this software, you may visit the IT SoftStore after March 17 to request an automatic installation of the software title “FMD Client”.

     

    For Student and/or Personally Owned Computers – Please visit this link to locate instructions for downloading and installing the software on your computer.

Free MATLAB License

The Medical School has recently procured a three-year site license agreement with MATLAB that will give Medical School staff access to a host of different MATLAB toolboxes. Access to the MATLAB products will be available at no cost to all current Medical School employees and will no longer be restricted to subscribers of the Research Software Concurrent Licensing Program.

Additional seats added to Research Software Concurrent Licensing Program

Based on subscriber feedback five additional seats have been added to the Research Software Licensing Program for MacVector sequence editing software bringing the total seat count to 40. Five additional seats have also been added for Stata data analysis and

Based on subscriber feedback five additional seats have been added to the Research Software Licensing Program for MacVector sequence editing software bringing the total seat count to 40. 

Five additional seats have also been added for Stata data analysis and statistical software bringing the total seat count to 20. In addition to adding to the license count we’ve also upgraded our Stata version to version 13.
