Launch of the International Stem Cell Registry! The ISCR officially launched on September 11, 2008. We have received positive reviews in the local media.
The UMass Center for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine hosted an exhibit at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) (June 11 -14, 2008) The ISSCR meeting provided an opportunity for our Registry to secure input from a broad segment of the stem cell community. We encourage recommendations for enhancing the content and effectiveness of the program and will be maximally responsive.
UMass Awarded Funding for Stem Cell Bank and Registry (October 25, 2007) The Board of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center has approved funding to the University of Massachusetts Medical School for the establishment of the Massachusetts Human Embryonic Stem Cell (hESC) Bank and an international hESC Registry based in Massachusetts, as well as funding for matching grants investments.
