e*mpac (PeopleSoft) Admin System Access Request Process
Requesting New/Updating/Changing Access to Administrative Data
Administrative Data refers to Financial, Human Resources, and Student Systems data. Users that must maintain, view or report on Financial, Human Resources, and Student Systems data will require access to the e*mpac (PeopleSoft) platform. The Worcester Campus requires this form to be filled out by a User's Supervisor. Please note a required Computing Awareness and Data Security Compiance Statement should have already been or must be signed by the user before they will be granted access to administrative data within the e*mpac (PeopleSoft) platforms.
Access Request Process Flow
The Process for requesting e*mpac PeopleSoft Access is the same for Student Services, Human Resources, and Financial Application.
Step 1: The Supervisor completes sections 1, 2, and 3 of the linked PS Access Form at bottom of this page and then follows the instructions on the form to send the Form to the Umass Worcester Help Desk.
Step 2: The Worcester Help Desk generates a HEAT ticket and transfers the Form to the appropriate Functional Analyst/Data Custodian.
Step 3: The Functional Analyst/Data Custodian reviews the request and either approves or denies it. If approved, he/she completes the approval portion of the request as neccessary and transfers the request to the Security Administrator. If the request is denied the Functional Analyst will notify the Supervisor who filled out the Form.
Step 4: The Security Administrator creates a PeopleSoft account for the User based on the information supplied on the Request form.
Step 5: The Functional Analyst/Data Custodian informs the Supervisor and User when access is granted.
Note: The same procedure is followed for requesting change in access.
Please select the linked Form after reading the above steps.
