Nurse Educator Program
Lisa M. Ogawa, RN, MS
I chose the GSN because of the educational program. I felt the APNE program offered the curriculum I needed to build a foundation for my career goals as a nurse educator.
The faculty and staff provided me with the excellent guidance and support. The Dean and faculty were available for consultations throughout the program. I felt like I was part of a great team.
Following my graduation, I entered the UMASS PhD Program to continue my educational goals. I felt this program best fit my needs because of the clinical research and proven academic achievements of the doctoral faculty members.

Adult Ambulatory/Critical Care NP Program with a Cancer Care Subspecialty
Richard Boyajian, RN, MS, ANP
Richard Boyajian, RN, MS, ANP has been appointed nurse practitioner of the Lance Armstrong Adult Survivorship Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The clinic, which will start seeing patients shortly, is part of the Perini Family Survivors' Center. The clinic will offer clinics for those treated for lymphoma, colon cancer, and testicular cancer and will treat individuals who have faced other types of cancer as well. Patients will visit their oncologist and then visit Boyajian for a full survivor assessment.
Boyajian, as a cancer survivor himself, knows first hand the challenges that cancer survivors face after completing their treatment. Boyajian was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia in Aug. 1996 and underwent a lifesaving bone marrow transplant at Dana-Farber. Following his bout with the disease, Boyajian attended the University of Massachusetts Worchester Graduate School of Nursing to become a nurse practitioner with the intention of working at Dana-Farber so he could care for others with cancer. He has been cancer-free for eight years
