Academic Programs
Master's of Science Degrees
Three educational pathways allow students to enter the master's program with or without previous education in nursing. The Traditional Master's Pathway is designed for registered nurses with a bachelor's degree in nursing who seek specialty graduate nursing preparation. The Pre-master's Pathway is designed for registered nurses with a baccalaureate degree in a field other than nursing who seek graduate specialty nursing preparation. The Graduate Entry Pathway (GEP) to the existing master's program is designed for individuals who already have a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing and want graduate specialty nursing preparation. The GEP prepares students to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse first, and then develop a specialty area in the existing master's program.
