Representatives of nine Central Massachusetts colleges and universities and the United States Army Health Care Team will introduce local high school students to the nursing programs available in their own backyard when the Graduate School of Nursing and the member schools of the Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium host the annual Nursing Schools Expo on Monday, April. 1
Practicing nurses will headline the program with discussions about the many career paths the field offers. Students and their parents will have opportunities for networking and one-on-one meetings with admissions officers for undergraduate, post-graduate and military training programs. More than 90 students turned out for last year’s record-breaking event.
The Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium was formed in 2000 to increase enrollment, retention, graduation and academic advancement of qualified nursing students and nurses committed to improving health care in Worcester and Central Massachusetts.
Free and open to the public, the Nursing Schools Expo will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the Medical School Lobbies at UMass Worcester. A buffet dinner will be served, with RSVPs requested by March 27. For more information and to RSVP, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 508-856-3399.
