Michael is a graduate of UMass Amherst, Tufts Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston where he remained on the medical staff for several years. He is board certified in internal medicine. He has taught epidemiology and biostatistics to nursing students and medical students for several years.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Medical Association,the American College of Physicians, the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education, and the Professional Ski Instructors Association.
