The Center for Academic Achievement
The Assistant Dean for Academic Achievement directs the learning skills program which is open to all students at UMMS. This includes academic counseling, tutoring and a series of learning seminars which focus on test-taking, reading, memorization and synthesizing information. The Assistant Dean works with individual students to identify learning needs which can be met through tutorials designed to promote academic achievement. The academic achievement program at UMMS is oriented toward prevention of academic problems through systematic needs assessment, mobilization of resources and continuity of the support experience.
