Quality Scholars in Primary Care
Dr. Elizabeth A. Murphy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a busy practicing internist in the Benedict Adult Primary Care Clinic on the University Campus of UMassMemorial Health Care. She graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her Residency and Chief Residency at UMass. She is a Longitudinal Preceptor for the Internal Medicine Clerkship and a member of the core clerkship faculty. She is a Resident's clinic preceptor, and Director of the Internal Medicine Residents’ Ambulatory Blocks and Primary Care Electives. She is the GME Taskforce Leader for a HRSA grant focused on developing and implementing Quality Improvement Curriculum at the UME, GME, and faculty levels. She received the Sarah L. Stone Award for Excellence in Medical Education. She is a member of the first class of UMass Quality Scholars and is directing a QI project aimed at "Improving Appropriate HPV Screening and Cervical Cancer Screening Intervals" in the Benedict Primary Care Clinic.
