UMMS Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry
Application Requirements and Information
Applications require a brief personal statement describing the applicant's interests and objectives in seeking specialized forensic training, sent along with a curriculum vitae, and a UMMS Office of Graduate Medical Education Application form. Applicants are strongly encouraged to include writing samples of forensic or clinical case materials disguised to protect the confidentiality of the subjects. In addition, at least three letters of recommendation are required for applications to be considered.
Applications are accepted in an ongoing process, but positions are generally filled by mid-fall of the year prior to the July 1 start date. Interested persons are encouraged to apply during the summer or early fall. Applicants are required to have completed an adult psychiatry residency and must be at least in their PGY-5 level of training at the time of entry into the program.
