'UMass Medicine Cares’ captures how you care

Members of the UMass Medical School community strive every day to make an impact on the health and well-being of the larger community. For many, that commitment extends beyond the workplace and the classroom with engagement in wide-ranging volunteer activities in their home towns, schools and neighborhoods. From volunteering at a local library to coaching sports, from teaching Sunday school to teaching ESL, what you do matters.

In an effort to increase awareness about the breadth and depth of the community service efforts and accomplishments of the individuals of the UMMS community, UMass Medicine Cares was created. This searchable, online, interactive database is designed to catalog and document the individual outreach activities and commitment to service demonstrated by UMMS students, faculty, clinicians, staff and administration.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to utilize UMass Medicine Cares to record their individual volunteer efforts, beginning today and over the next year.
