In recognition of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month, the GLBT Quality Improvement Committee of UMass Memorial Health Care is hosting "Love Makes A Family and Pioneering Voices," a museum-quality traveling exhibit of photographs and interviews with families that have GLBT members. The exhibit will be on display from Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5, on the University Campus in the Lamar Soutter Library; on Tuesday, June 9, on the Hahneman Campus in the Ann Nemitz Conference Room; and Thursday, June 23, through Friday, June 24, on the Memorial Campus in the Nursing Conference Room, 11 a.m..1 p.m.
The UMMS Center for Mindfulness is offering all UMMS employees an opportunity to participate in the nationally acclaimed Stress Reduction Program for a discounted fee of $150. Participants will work on developing skills for increasing concentration and focus, learning to respond to stress more effectively, increasing resiliency and enhancing creativity. The Greater Worcester Farmer's Market will be back on the University Campus starting on Tuesday, July 7. The Walk to Cure Cancer Kick-off Breakfast will be held Thursday, July 16, in the Hogan Center at the College of the Holy Cross. Registrations are now being accepted for the 17th Annual Tee Up for Tots Golf Tournament that will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, at the Sterling National Country Club in Sterling.
