Family Medicine Practice-Based Research Network
The overall mission of the UMMS Family Medicine Practice-Based
Research Network is to facilitate and promote primary care research that aims to advance knowledge about health and healthcare relevant to providing our patients higher quality, safer, and more accessible preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services.
Established in 2007 and located in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, the UMMS Family Medicine PBRN is the internal infrastructure for the development of community-based primary care practice research activity. The steering committee, comprised of department staff and over 30 members representing community health center and academic group practice physicians, is the central decision-making body of the PBRN.
The PBRN is a member of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality PBRN Resource Network. For information about becoming a member, contact Gail Sawosik at gail.sawosik@umassmed.edu .jpg)
