Research Interests
Dr. Spencer’s research is focused on improving our understanding of the current profile of patients at risk for arterial and venous disease and their complications as well as identifying and correcting deficiencies in timely diagnosis and management of these conditions. He is currently PI of the NIH-funded Worcester Venous Thromboembolism Study and the VENICE (Venous Thromboembolism in the Elderly: Natural History, Management, and Outcomes) Study.
