Stephenie C. Lemon, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine. Her research interests include chronic disease management, worksite health promotion, cancer detection and control, and obesity.

On Going Projects/ Grants

Principal Investigator, Step Ahead – Active Living and Healthy Diet at the Workplace, 1 R01 HL079483-01, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, 2004–2008.  
This multi-center randomized controlled trial will test the effectiveness of a multi-level environmental intervention designed to reduce obesity and overweight among hospital employees through healthy diet and physical activity at the worksite.

Principal Investigator, Evaluation of Patient Navigation Programs in New England Hospitals, American Cancer Society Contract, 2008-2009.
This project is evaluating the effectiveness of patient navigation programs implemented by the American Cancer Society in eight hospitals in New England.

Co-Investigator, Observational Study of Delay in Heart Failure, 1 R01 HL077248-01A2, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, 2007-2010.
This prospective cohort study is assessing factors that inhibit care seeking among persons with acute episodes of heart failure and studying the impact that care seeking delays on patient outcomes.
