All students receive stipend support and are considered non-benefited, full-time employees of UMass Medical School (UMMS). Student stipend for 2009-10 will be $28,350.

A full tuition waiver is provided to each full-time graduate student.. 

Health insurance and dental insurance (limited coverage) is provided for each student with the premium paid by UMMS.  A spouse and/or dependant children can be added with the additional premiums paid by the student. 

Up to 4 weeks of paid scheduled breaks per calendar year. 

Students' costs include books, fees (limited), software, parking permit and requires that students have a laptop computer which meets UMMS specifications (cost may be included in student loan).
