The HSCHP will be held Monday June 30, 2014 – Friday July 25, 2014.
Participants are placed in two groups for the academic enrichment classes in Language Arts, Mathermatics, Science/Biology and Information Technology. All enrichment classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the main campus of UMMS. Two Fridays are reserved for field trips. The first trip is to Tufts Veterinary School, in Grafton MA and the second is to the Forensic Laboratory at Mass Bay Community College in Wellesley, MA. Participants attend assigned internships Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The CCHI Seminars are conducted Monday through Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Students are also given guidelines that outline the criteria for their final project on "Health Disparities." The curriculum themes for the enrichment courses include the following: Challenging Your Goals, Forensics and Body Works.
