Early Detection of Acute Decompensated Heart Failure Using a Wearable Monitor: The SENTINEL Study

Cardiovascular Research is currently conducting the SENTINEL Study (PI: Dr. David McManus) sponsored by Philips Healthcare to see whether a new type of heart failure monitor, a wearable vest, is helpful in detecting worsening heart failure after hospital discharge. Participants are recruited from both University and Memorial campuses and wear the vest for 5 minutes per day for 45 days post-discharge. Participants may be compensated up to $200. If you work with heart failure patients and know someone that would benefit from our study, please contact Study Coordinator Jennifer Shuman for more information:jennifer.shuman@umassmed.edu.
