UMass Memorial and the University of Massachusetts Medical School are sponsoring a research effort in the Worcester area. We want to learn why people become sick and how to get them better. All UMass Memorial patients are invited to participate.

Everyday people get sick. They suffer from diseases that do not yet have a cure. All of us know people with diseases. Diseases run in families or come from the places we live or work. UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial need your help to find ways to stop people from getting sick.

The Conquering Diseases Project will study blood samples from healthy people and from people who are sick. Information about your health will be kept with the sample after information that could identify you is removed.

Having blood samples linked to disease and health history information, even without information that could identify those giving a blood sample, will help our scientists and doctors discover new ways to treat and prevent diseases. Their work will make new treatments available to people in our community.
