About Us

The Conquering Diseases program is a research program within the NIH-sponsored UMass Center for Clinical and Translational Science (UMCCTS).

The goals of UMCCTS are:

1) To accelerate the translation of basic scientific discoveries into practical, cost effective solutions that improve human health.

2) To mold and support the next generation of leaders in clinical and translational research. By supporting investigation that accelerates the translation of UMass discoveries into products for clinical use, we will improve community health on a local & global scale.

The Conquering Diseases program supports the UMCCTS mission by connecting researchers with patients and community members. The program also provides high quality biological specimens for scientists, promoting CCTS research.

We encourage you to browse through our website to learn more about how the Conquering Diseases program catalyzes clinical and translational research!
