Long-Term Care and Community-Based Services
The ongoing effort to ensure community integration for people with disabilities, combined with the overall aging of the nation's population, makes certain that the need for quality research into long-term care and community-based services will only increase. Commonwealth Medicine researchers have the skills and resources to help public agencies enhance their delivery of long-term and community-based supports.Our Center for Health Policy and Research offers a specialized expertise in the study of home and community-based services. We provide applied research, strategic planning and program evaluation services for a wide range of long-term care and community-based supports. Our research, combined with our disability education services, informs both public agencies and key stakeholders as they develop policies impacting these populations.
We believe the best policies are those crafted with the input of those most directly affected, so we always involve stakeholders in our research initiatives. This approach, along with our continual efforts to build consensus between decision-makers and stakeholders, results in both better research and more effective policy.
