Health Law Compliance

The compliance experts at UMass Medical School’s Commonwealth Medicine division ensure that all employees — from support staff to the highest level executives — fully understand the need to remain in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, policies, and contact provisions. We have a dedicated team of specialists to ensure that employees meet the compliance obligations that apply to our work.

By providing training, monitoring, and consulting services, the Commonwealth Medicine division aims to increase employee awareness of compliance issues, minimize instances of noncompliance, and ensure that proper remedial actions are taken in the event that noncompliant behavior occurs.

The compliance team within our Center for Health Law and Economics also reviews contracts, requests for proposals, Interagency Service Agreements, and other written documents, making sure that these documents achieve Commonwealth Medicine division’s business objectives with minimal risk and maximum efficiency.
