Education and Training Services
As an academic institution, education and training is at the heart of everything we do. In fact, developing a highly skilled, compassionate and diverse workforce of health and human services professionals is integral to Commonwealth Medicine's mission of ensuring vulnerable populations receive quality health and social services. We bring a particular expertise in assessing, planning and executing educational and training strategies for public sector services.
Our education and training programs draw upon the extensive resources of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and other UMass campuses, cover a broad range of subject areas, and can be tailored for each situation. To each project we bring an in-depth knowledge of current trends and issues, clinical expertise and a commitment to achieving specific educational objectives. Our expansive curricula and training materials reflect this dedication to customized client solutions.
From continuing professional education to hands-on student training to family and community instruction, all of our programs within the Center for Health Policy and Research support improved services for vulnerable populations. Our areas of particular expertise include education and training in HIV/AIDS, medical interpreter training, Massachusetts Medicaid staff training and foster care and adoption. Our focus on culturally diverse and at-risk populations helps our public sector clients better serve these constituents in their communities.
