Center for Health Law and Economics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Commonwealth Medicine division played a significant role in the design and development of these new state programs, which improve and finance access to care for underserved populations.
The Center for Health Law and Economics is a health policy resource center dedicated to helping public and private health care organizations create, analyze and launch innovative initiatives to improve public health care. We provide public and private sector clients with expertise in interpreting, complying with and understanding:

- Economic effects of health care policies
Our experienced team includes legal and policy experts in health care systems and reform, with decades of policy and program management experience at the executive level. The Center for Health Law and Economics has significant experience designing and implementing Medicaid and Medicare waivers, drafting laws and related documents, and negotiating federal approval for these programs. Our Office of Compliance and Review works with clients across the University and externally on issues concerning data security and privacy.
