Partnerships


Improving health outcomes for underserved populations requires a collaborative, inclusive approach to service delivery and policy development. As such, Commonwealth Medicine builds strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations and leverages these external resources to achieve its mission and goals. Among these partnerships are UMass Memorial Health CarePublic Sector Partners and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services.

UMass Memorial Health Care

UMass Memorial Health Care is the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the largest health care system in Central and Western Massachusetts.  It is a not-for-profit, integrated health care system designed to provide all levels of health care, from primary to quaternary.

UMass Memorial Health Care delivers care through the UMass Memorial Medical Center and its member hospitals (Clinton, HealthAlliance, Marlborough and Wing Memorial) as well as UMass Memorial Medical Group, University Commons Nursing Care Center, Fairlawn Nursing Home, Highlands Long-term Care Facility, Community HealthLink, Diversified Visiting Nurses Association and UMass Memorial Home Health and Hospice.

Commonwealth Medicine partners with UMass Memorial Health Care to deliver superior health services to individuals served by the organization’s programs, and relies on the clinical expertise of its medical staff to improve Commonwealth Medicine research programs.

Public Sector Partners, Inc.

Public Sector Partners, Inc. (PSP) is a not-for-profit health care management organization that offers a full array of program management and consulting services to public sector clients. PSP is owned by UMass Memorial Health Ventures, Inc., and partners with Commonwealth Medicine on many public health care initiatives.

PSP provides administrative, management and technical support to Commonwealth Medicine in a variety of areas, including program and project management, revenue maximization, policy development and analysis, and human resource management services. In turn, Commonwealth Medicine offers a depth of clinical expertise and experience that allows PSP to offer quality health care services to its clients.

Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is the largest secretariat in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its work touches the lives of all Massachusetts residents. The breadth of services EOHHS oversees includes conducting important health care research, providing health insurance to financially needy individuals, and developing programs and services for children and the elderly.

The relationship between Commonwealth Medicine and Massachusetts state agencies goes back 20 years. As part of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, ensuring the health and well-being of the local community remains one of Commonwealth Medicine’s highest priorities.

Today, Commonwealth Medicine partners with and supports several initiatives of EOHHS and a number of EOHHS agencies, including the following:
