This is your chance to network with colleagues throughout the New England Region in a venue close-to-home and discuss contemporary issues, current treatments, office-based procedures and diagnostics in selected disease states.
Program Overview: As part of an institutional commitment to training in primary care, the University of Massachusetts Medical School Office of Continuing Medical Education has designed a program that provides updates on a wide range of rapidly changing issues. The program will feature concurrent presentations on a variety of topics, from which the attendee can formulate his/her own learning track. Faculty will use didactic and case presentations. Each session will be facilitated by a primary care physician whose mission it will be to engage the audience in discussion and keep the discussion focused on primary care issues.
Target Audience: Primary Care Days is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians-in-training specializing in primary care: general medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and ob-gyn.
Educational Objectives: At the conclusion of the program, the participant will be able to: 1. Discuss current treatments, office-based procedures and diagnostics in selected disease states.
2. Identify malpractice issues and solutions.
3. Improve skills for selected office-based procedures.
