ACLS
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
The ACLS course is designed for medical, dental, nursing, or health professionals whose daily occupation demands proficiency and certification in the knowledge and skills of ACLS.
The University of Massachusetts Medical School Office of Continuing Education is authorized as a certifying institution for Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support programs by the American Heart Association 
, Massachusetts Affiliate.
Continuing Education Credit Information
The OCE offers ACLS for physicians nurses and other eligible providers, and approves them for the following credits:
Physicians
(physicians may claim credits for only those portions they attend)
- ACLS Provider 13.5 Category 1 CME credits
- ACLS Instructor 13 Category 1 CME credits
- ACLS Retraining 7 Category 1 CME credits
Nurses
- ACLS Provider 15.9 continuing education contact hours
- ACLS Instructor 14.1 continuing education contact hours
All others
- ACLS Provider 13.5 CEUs
- ACLS Instructor 13 CEUs
- ACLS Retraining 7 CEUs

Advanced Cardiac Life Support classes are refundable, less a $100.00 processing fee if you cancel in less than 2 weeks of the course date or if course materials have already been mailed out to the registrant. You may transfer to another class, if arrangements are made 10 days prior to the original class date. Classes must be paid in full in order to receive a certification card and continuing education credit(s). A certification card will be awarded on the day of the course to those who successfully complete the course and have paid for the course in full.
