OCME Advisory Board

During 1992, a CME Advisory Committee (CMEAC) was formed with representation from across the academic health center.  This committee is now known as the OCME Advisory Board.  It was charged with the responsibilities of:

  1. Guidance: assist with designing the changing role of CME in the emerging health care environment
  2. Policy Development: assist with the UMMS policy initiatives for CME and with/interpretation of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education policy regarding documentation and compliance;
  3. Liaison: act as a bridge between medical school Academic Departments, the Medical Education staff, and the Office of Continuing Education.
