Training and Education
UMass Medical School's Center for Health Policy and Research is dedicated to providing training and education regarding emerging health care policy, programs, and best practices to a broad and diverse audience.
Key Populations
Families and Consumers
We offer educational opportunities and resources to members of the public interested in health care careers.
Professionals
We train clinicians and health care staff, as well as support government agencies and community-based organizations, with workshops, conferences, and training as well as specialty programs focused on specific needs, such as HIV/AIDS, MassHealth training, and multicultural programs.
Students
We extend the medical school program beyond the classroom to include community medicine and public health programs such as clerkships, interclerkships, optional electives, and summer internships.
In addition to our standard programs, the Center for Health Policy and Research offers custom program development, management, and implementation, as well as curricula and material development.
