UMass Medical School's Center for Health Policy and Research works with state Medicaid programs, health professionals, government agencies, and community-based organizations to develop and implement training on best practices and the latest health care policy and research.

Our services include comprehensive program development, management, and implementation, as well as curricula and material development.

Cultural Awareness

We are committed to developing and training a diverse workforce that understands and respects cultural differences.  Major efforts include:

• MassAHEC Network
• Multicultural programs, including sensitivity training and medical interpreter training

MassHealth

We are a community resource for those working with the MassHealth state Medicaid program.  Our work includes:

• Development and expansion of Community Health Centers
• The MassHealth Training Forum for training and information on eligibility, application, verification, and documentation processes
• Outreach and enrollment programs

We serve as a regional and national resource for practitioners in a number of speciality areas, including:
