December 1, 2008 – David Tringali, Office of Clinical Affairs, receives a 2008 Commonwealth Citation
Dr. JudyAnn Bigby, Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), presents the annual Commonwealth Citation for Outstanding Performance to employees who have demonstrated exemplary work performance. These awards highlight consistent, positive achievements of state employees, and recognize those who demonstrate innovation and dedication to their work, concern for the public trust and a commitment to excellence. Individuals or groups can be nominated by supervisors, peers, professional colleagues or others familiar with the person’s work.
David Tringali of the Office of Clinical Affairs, which is part of the Center for Health Policy and Research, was part of the Acute Hospital Pay for Performance Workgroup that received the award. The workgroup developed and implemented a pay for performance program for acute care hospitals. The program rewards hospitals that excel by meeting or exceeding benchmarks or improving their performance on specific clinical indicators. The initiative was established as part of the state’s 2006 health care reform measures.
