April 9, 2009 – Katie Walsh, M.D. presents topic- The Use of Health Information Technology to Support Medication Use in Children and Prevention of Medication Errors
Dr. Katie Walsh is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UMass Medical School who has expertise in the assessment of medication errors in inpatient and outpatient setting, and in chronically ill children. Her experience has included the measurement of errors using administrative data, comprehensive chart and incident report review, direct observation of medication use in the home, and qualitative semi-structured interviews.
