Dr. Christine Clements is Associate Director in the Evaluation and Measurement Unit at the Center for Health Policy and Research, which is part of UMass Medical School.  In this capacity, she leads evaluations of the programs and services at organizations such as UMass Medical School, partner state agencies at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and out-of-state clients. She is skilled in applying a participatory, action-oriented approach to evaluation, as well as in applying mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) to answering evaluation questions. Dr. Clements is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Medical School.

Prior to joining the Center for Health Policy and Research, Dr. Clements was founder and principal of a consulting firm that provided services to the public and private sector on evaluation and policy initiatives. Her focus was on initiatives that aimed to enhance the well being of low- and moderate-income individuals and families.

Dr. Clements earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Northeastern University, a master’s degree in public health from Boston University, and a doctorate from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
