Improving the Evidence Base for Health Policy Decision Making

The Center for Health Policy and Research occupies a unique place in the realm of research, evaluation, and education in health policy. Based within and drawing on the resources of one of the nation’s premier public medical schools, the Center has extensive expertise in conducting applied health policy research, evaluation and education. As part of the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Commonwealth Medicine division, we work closely with state and federal policy makers to improve the evidence-base for effective policy decision making.

Additionally, we have a nationwide network of collaborative partners in academic and other policy research settings that enhance our ability to provide cutting-edge service to our clients. The Center’s mission is to promote and conduct applied research, evaluation, and education aimed at informing policy decisions that improve the health and wellbeing of people served by public agencies.
