Public Comment Preparation

It is critical for the voices of impacted stakeholders to be heard prior to the enactment and implementation of new health laws and regulations. These changes can have a substantial effect on existing health care policies and programs.

The Center for Health Law and Economics at UMass Medical School has significant experience in strategizing around and drafting public comments on proposed health laws and regulations, including those governing Medicaid, State Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP), and other programs. We prepare public comments to explain the impact that new federal and state laws and regulations may have on existing health care policies and programs.

We ensure that all necessary perspectives from an agency or organization are considered by:

  • Collaborating with other states or national organizations as necessary
  • Preparing final public comments on behalf of your organization in the most compelling manner
