Tami Ohler, Ph.D.
Since she joined the Center for Health Law and Economics in 2013, Dr. Ohler has focused on analyzing the variation in prices that commercial health insurers pay providers in Vermont.
Prior to joining CHLE, Dr. Ohler worked at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, where she analyzed state funding for human services. She was also previously a research assistant at the Congressional Budget Office, where she helped prepare cost estimates related to the Pell Grant program and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. She also has taught both introductory economics and public finance at the college level.
Dr. Ohler has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
