MBSR Teacher Education & Certification
Oasis Institute offers comprehensive, highly-professional training to become a CFM Certified MBSR Teacher, with the opportunity to earn CFM "Qualified Teacher" status after the first two courses (SR-401 and SR-402). With completion of all six courses (SR-FLEX, plus SR-401 through SR-405), you are eligible to apply for MBSR Teacher Certification.
SR-FLEX MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine
Intensive, 7-day residential program teaching mindfulness meditation practice as taught in the CFM Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Clinic. MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine (SR-FLEX) is required for CFM Teacher Certification, but may be completed any time prior to Certification.
SR-401-8W MBSR Fundamentals – 8 Week
MBSR Fundamentals - 8-Week is an immersion in the CFM 8-week Stress Reduction Program to study the curriculum, program flow, and contextual and theoretical background of MBSR. A small cohort explores issues arising out of the MBSR learning and teaching experience.
SR-401-9D MBSR Fundamentals - 9 Day
A 9-day residential program for trainees unable to participate at the 8-week MBSR Fundamentals format. This 9-day format starts with a 5-day immersion in Mindfulness Tools intensive workshop, followed by a 4-day rigorous professional MBSR teacher training.
SR-402 MBSR Practice Teaching Intensive
Applied exploration of MBSR Fundamentals curriculum over 8 consecutive days, immersion in MBSR methodology and direct experience through simulated teaching. Completion authorizes trainees to teach 8-week MBSR classes to the public with CFM "Qualified Teacher" status.
SR-403 MBSR Group Supervision
Group supervision in MBSR offers the opportunity to actively engage in dialogue with a CFM senior teacher and small peer cohort. Via live, online videoconferencing, explore issues and questions that arise out of direct MBSR teaching.
SR-404MBSR Individual Supervision
Actively engage in one-on-one dialogue with a CFM senior teacher for individualized support, guidance, dialogue, and feedback. Conducted by online videoconference or phone, you will investigate, clarify, and refine teaching capacity and skill.
SR-405 MBSR Teacher Certification
Teacher Certification in MBSR is the recognition of your in-depth understanding and skillful delivery of the MBSR curriculum, and an acknowledgment that your teaching competencies meet all practice standards for MBSR teachers as established by the Center for Mindfulness.
