Susan Starr, MEd
Title: Assistant Professor & Education Specialist, Department of Pediatrics, Coordinator, Community-Based Pediatric Residency Program
Bio: Ms. Starr coordinates the UMass Community-Based Residency Program in Pediatrics and co-directs the small groups for the first year medical student course in Physician, Patients and Society. She serves on the faculty of the Teaching of Tomorrow program, and has presented at national meetings of the Ambulatory Pediatric Associate, emphasizing teaching in community settings. During her twenty years as an educator and presenter, she has worked with undergraduates, medical students, residents and community practitioners. Her current research interests include an investigation of teacher identity among community preceptors.
