We’re extremely pleased to welcome Teresa Zash, JD/ LLM, as the new Director of Operations in the Office of Global Health. As the OGH Director of Operations, Teresa will provide oversight for OGH activities and the implementation of OGH sponsored programs. As a member of CHAI’s core operations team she led an effort to develop country operations manuals, collaborating with country leaders and local attorneys to customize HR, finance and administrative policies across more than twenty countries. Working with senior leadership she drafted several other policies and procedures in support of global health programs and global compliance. Teresa helped to establish CHAI’s South Africa country program, working directly with the National Department of Health to design and implement expansion of HIV counseling and testing and a national malaria elimination strategy. She was also the lead writer for the country’s successful 2010 Global Fund application.
